Uechi Training since 1998

Uechi life, for me, began in July of 1998 with my 4 year old daughter , Emily, beginning her training at Mike Rozumek’s Karate in Pepperell. After seeing the great instructors and positive energy in the school, the October trial program was an no brainer to sign up for. All 4 of my daughters and my wife became black belts earned finally at Neil Stones Karate Academy in Brookline,NH. While my family members choose to stop, I was fortunate to be able to continue. Challenging myself to overcome a changing aging body and mind through continued practice. The trials of life are faced by all in all manner of ways and Uechi practice has made facing my challenges far easier. Giving me a discipline I can use both physically and mentally. The students throughout the Uechi family I have been privileged to meet are friendly and inspiring people. It’s a pleasure to share and work out with people of vast age range and abilities who all enjoy Uechi. Life will continue to challenge and so my plan is to continue my Uechi training and always be mindful of improving myself and positively contribute as best I can. I can never give enough praise and thanks to all those who have participated in my progress. Those who have inspired me and given me direction. Thank you Sensei Stone and Sensei Durkin for giving me and so many a wonderful journey.
