Uechi Training since September 1994

I started Uechi training while I was in elementary school. A friend of mine wanted to try it and I went along for the ride. Over 30 years later, I'm still here though she stopped. Uechi Ryu is responsible for some of my core memories - seeing young women sparring and Gatorade breaks in the kids class. It was even the first place I drove by myself when I got my license. Bill Adams was a senior student as I was coming up the ranks. He was always trying to set me up with his son - I had no interest. Once Bill took over the dojo in 2004, I met his son. We've been married since 2012. Uechi is now an even bigger family affair - our 7 year old is a green belt and our 4 year old is a yellow belt.
